The Uptiding here at Whitby has been superb these last few weeks! With all the unsettled water its stirred up some colour in the water, which is ideal for Uptiding!
When there has been a break in the weather we have been getting out and straight into the Cod, with each trip averaging between 70 and 100 Codlings.
We have been using a mixture of baits such as blacks, squid , sprats and crab cart and the rods have never stopped nodding. The average stamp is now between 3lb and 7lb so a better stamp of fish is now running.
