Hi all. Carrying on from our last update in August we were in the middle of our yearly maintenance which is now complete and the boat looks nice and fresh with her new stickers and paint job.
We also got back into the water in time to participate in the WCSA Autumn Festival and despite missing the first week and sadly not been able, despite our best efforts, to finish on the overall leader board, we did manage 2nd place in the daily prizes on the last day of the festival with regular David Jenkins landing a lovely 11lb 1oz Ling.
Moving on into September and we have took to sea as much as possible but we’re at that stage of the season where the Mackerel are slowly dispersing and the weather hampers a lot of our days at sea.
We have also been winding down on the drift fishing and slowly moving towards the Uptide/Down Tide fishing and its been a promising start with some nice plump Codlings to 8lb and Pollock to 6lb.
The water is colouring up, and just this last week has seen a North East weather front stirring up some colour into the water which is ideal for driving in those Cod.
We have plenty of availability for our Winter Uptide Trips and we highly recommend these trips to all our customers as it really is great light tackle sport.
We will get you an update for October come the end of the month and let’s hope its a great report and plenty of Cod coming aboard for our anglers.
Tight lines for now!!
