Hi all, the Uptide / Downtide season is a few weeks in now, and what a cracking few weeks it’s been so far!
We have been getting a good number of days at sea, with the weather being kind to us so far this October, losing very few days at sea.
The rods have been nodding non-stop, with fish flying over the rails ranging from Cod up to 8lb, Pollock to 7lb, Ling just shy of double figures and a few Ballan Wrasse.
Some trips have seen in excess of 100 Codlings over the rails, with many of these good legal size fish being returned, due to the sheer high volumes and quality of fish being caught!
Even the Neap Tides have fished really well, and the bait of choice been unwashed Squid and Black Lugworm.
Uptide and Downtide Fishing is all done under anchor, close to the shoreline, fishing over very rough ground and ledges. It is great light tackle sport as well as being a much more relaxed type of fishing compared to Drift Fishing over Wrecks.
We have plenty of Trip Availability midweek and very limited availability on Weekends, so if you would like a day of great fun filled sport and a good laugh to boot, give us a call on 07470354403, or use our Contact Form.
Tight lines for now!!
