What a month of weather we have had here at Whitby, and some cracking fishing to compliment it!
The Summer Holidays are upon us, meaning our 3hr Taster Sessions are in full swing. The Mackerel had been very patchy during the month of July, but have finally arrived in there full strength keeping our anglers busy.
We have also ran a few 10hr Wreck Fishing Trips and yet again a new PB Ling for Alexia and regular Dave Jenkins weighing in at over 20lbs. The ling fell to a squid bait Illuminous muppet whilst fishing a wreck around 3 mile off, just goes to show you don’t need to travel miles out to sea for good fish!
We have also seen Cod to over 9lb on our 3hr Taster Sessions as well as Pollock to 5lb and plenty of Cod around the 4lb mark.
The better fishing is coming on the neap tides, the water is gin clear now meaning that the artificial lures are catching very well.
We were also privileged to have a pod of Dolphins around us in the bay which are always great to see and a video has been attached below for you to watch.
We can offer wildlife trips to see the Whales, Dolphins and Seals as well as the many birds we have on our coast during the month of august.
With COVID restrictions now being eased passenger numbers are now back to full capacity so the boat is now carrying her licenced numbers, which are 12 Anglers plus x 2 crew.
