It’s that time of year now were were non stop with various trips here at Whitby Fishing Trips!
But this week has been the best of the season so far with Cod galore coming over the rails!
We have ran 3 hr taster trips over the majority of last weekend and the past week and the fishing continues to thrive.
We had ex-Sunderland footballer Kevin Ball aboard to try out one of our Taster Trips, but he agreed he is as bad at fishing as he is as at football, I just had to get that in, with me been a Boro fan!!
Also on Monday 23rd June, saw us take part in our first trip in the WCSA Grand Summer Festival, with the top prize for the heaviest fish been a whopping £5000, which runs until the 15th July.
Although we didn’t get amongst the major prizes we did finish second on the day landing Chris Lax from Beverley a £30 daily prize with a cracking 8lb 2oz Cod.
We hope to have another go at landing that big fish before the festival finishes with Chris Lax already booking the boat again for another crack at the big prize.
Every trip we have run over the past week has seen all of our anglers take home some lovely North Sea Cod, we even had one little lad reel up a 5lb Cod, he was over the moon.
