Hi everyone, sorry it’s been a long while since our last update, it’s just seemed every time I’ve sat to do one something has cropped up. As you are aware earlier in the season we expanded bringing onboard Daniel Johnson my son and his boat Tilly-Mae, and despite a challenging summer season, with loosing trips to people falling ill with COVID including myself, we pulled together and worked through the challenging times, not to forgot a very poor 2021 weather and sea conditions were poor for large parts, but we can’t control Mother Nature.
We are almost at the end of our Winter Uptide season and sadly the number of days at sea has been very minimum as the weather has barely let up all winter. The trips we have managed have seen mixed results, with days we thought we would get a few cod over the rails been poor and the days we assumed would be poor we’re far better, strange or maybe things are changing ie the climate, seasons coming and going later than usual but not to worry as we will adapt with it.
We have also had some cracking double figure cod over the rails as well as new PB for our anglers whilst fishing under anchor both making Sea Angler Online and the Magazine.
Dave from Shropshire with a cracker around 15lb mark and Kev from hull with a belter of a cod of 18lb,2oz!!! It just shows there is still good fish out there we just never no when there gonna take the bait!
Both lads were like the cat that got the cream with both fishing this coast on various charters for years before getting their reward.
The 2022 season has got of to a slow start with only a handful of trips so far as the season has been plagued by the weather, but with a good forecast showing some settled weather over the coming week hopefully things are about to change.
For more info on any of our trips please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
We now also take card payment, due to higher demand for a card service we have now got that in place.
Tight lines for now
